Melanie
Magassa is a german-french photographer and video artist.
She started out working as a magazine editor and art director
in New York City. After relocating to Sweden Melanie continued
her work in art direction, then gradually moved on to photography
and video.
Magassa studied at the Faculty
of Fine Arts and Design at Tokyo Zokei University in Japan
and graduated from the School of Photography at Gothenburg
University in Sweden. She has collaborated with magazines
such as Standard, Vice, etc. and has produced projects for
the Keith Haring Foundation as well as for Universal Records.
Melanie's current project
is a photographic pop up book entitled "Reverie",
a collaboration with visual artist Christa Joo Hyun D'Angelo.
